An out-of-date website had Love Ur Dog chasing their tails – so as a team of dog lovers, we were all too happy to step in.
As a luxury hotel and day care centre created entirely for dogs, the business needed a website that would reflect their pedigree – which had our web developers pricking up their ears.
Love Ur Dog wanted to have a minimalistic website that didn’t overshadow their professional photographs. The design also had to be familiar for visitors from Instagram, as that is where most of their customers stay up to date with the company.
Even though the overall feel is minimalistic, we still wanted to add some friendly, personal touches; this appeared as small touches in the design, such as the main buttons being shaped like bones that also react to users hovering over them. We also introduced additional colours for a better contrast against the white background.
The homepage features the latest reviews pulled straight from Google and a slider of hand-picked photos showing dogs enjoying their stay at the hotel. There are entrance animations for all sections that elevate the design and make it more engaging to browse.
The homepage leads off to the main services pages as well as to the Kennel Booker app, which customers can use to book their pet’s stay. The company’s Instagram feed in also pulled through to the homepage so visitors can see, and click through to interact with, the latest posts.
The subpages feature custom graphics, plenty of photos from the company and easy-to-read fonts.
Overall, our team built this website entirely from scratch to create a fetching new look – with a user experience so simple you can book a stay for your pooch before you can say “walkies!”.
