Since launching in 2009, Engage Web has come a long way. Here are some of the notable events in our history.
In honour of Engage Web turning 15, we celebrated by offering a special competition with a whopping 45 prizes up for grabs!
In support of one of our chosen charities, the Hospice of the Good Shepherd, we ventured to Chester Racecourse and took part in our first team Colour Run, along with some friends and family. We didn’t just take part, however – we manned a paint station too! It was a messy affair, but we enjoyed it so much that we’re planning on doing another one…watch this space!
Our Dominate Your Competitors through SEO for Businesses workshop was launched, helping business owners get one up on their competition through search engine optimisation (SEO) – with no technical expertise or SEO experience required.
We launched our debut book, Engage & Grow: 97 Ways To Power Up Your Business, which shot straight to the #1 spot of Amazon's SEO chart AND sold out on launch day! This book is a must-have for business owners who want to become THE authority within their sector, and features 97 different methods that can be used to grow a business - many of which being completely free.
We ventured out to Catton Hall for our annual team building day. It was an adventure-filled day with archery, air rifle shooting and quad biking. It was also Luke and Ryan’s very first team building event with us - and one we’re sure Luke will never forget, as he was the victim of not one but two crashes on his quad bike. It’ll also go down in Engage Web history as the day Darren was bested by Nick for the second year in a row!
We launched our two-day Membership Site Masterclass, with our attendees building and launching their own subscription-model membership sites during the workshop.
Engage Web became the headline sponsor of the newly launched 100 Club in aid of the Hospice of the Good Shepherd “Networking with a Heart” and will be taking part in a variety of fundraising events this year
Our bespoke customer relationship manager (CRM) system, 360, was launched. This revolutionary system combines the best admin features with the team’s desired functionality. The result is a dynamic system that will improve the efficiency of our team.
In January 2023, we launched EngageWeb.Club - an online community where business owners and marketers can take their businesses above and beyond through our jam-packed vault of marketing and business material, exclusive support group and training sessions, and much more.
With a new partnership model, our team are now more than just employees; they’re also partners, meaning that our success, and the success of all of our clients, is shared by the entire team.
Our podcast launches on all popular podcast channels and debuts at #1 in Apple’s UK Marketing chart.
Our director Darren hosts our very first Business Fit Club. Monthly keynotes, individual mentoring, and a host of other benefits for our mentees.
We launched our first in-person workshops in our new training facility, in Ellesmere Port. Starting with our Facebook Ads Workshops and moving on to our Brand & Marketing Fundamentals Workshops.
As part of our community outreach efforts, we began our proud sponsorship of our local football club, Ellesmere Port Town FC, with the Engage Web logo taking pride of place on the team’s home and away shirts.
After more than 10 years at Stanlaw Abbey, Engage Web finally moved into our new home at Rossmore Business Village.
Our online training product, teaching business owners how to get real results with Facebook Ads, was launched.
Our Operations Manager Alan Littler and Content Team Leader John Murray became shareholders in Engage Web.
Our 10-year-anniversary was celebrated in the traditional fashion, with champagne and cake – and we also presented our clients with some rather fetching 10-year globe awards.
The ‘Netflix’ of web design, our Fresh Start website lease package launches at just £99 per month including ongoing web support assistance.
Our 2017 team building day involved zipping around on wires in North Wales. Orange was definitely the new black!
Engage Web purchased two hospitality season tickets at Anfield, to take clients, suppliers and referral partners to Liverpool FC matches.
To help with our team’s work/life balance, we introduced a work-from-home scheme where team members could work from home up to three days each week.
We launched our digital training website, the Online Learning Academy. Classroom courses in social media and online marketing are also provided through the brand.
Engage Web introduced a package of employee benefits to make us one of the UK’s leading agencies in this regard. We aim to be the top choice for digital marketing talent
Our MD, Lianne, and our project manager Mark completed Tough Mudder.
Our first five years in business were celebrated with cake and candles – like any good five-year-old’s birthday!
Engage Web exhibited at the Travel Technology Europe show at Earls Court, London, promoting our travel writing expertise.
Engage Web took a stand at the National Franchise Exhibition, in Birmingham’s NEC, to launch the FranchiseXcel product.
Engage Web was a finalist in the Morgan Foundation Entrepreneur Awards
Engage Web’s MD, Lianne Wilkinson, became a finalist in the North West Entrepreneur Awards for 2012 in the category of Female Entrepreneur.
We rebranded to Engage Web and launched a new website.
Our first team building day was held at Knowsley Adventure Centre, where the team engaged in air rifle shooting, quad biking and ‘blind’ driving.
We became a shirt sponsor for the Flintshire Freeze Ice Hockey Team for the 2011-2012 season.
We won our first client based in the United States, a franchise with franchisees across the US. We discuss their campaign on a fishing boat… off the coast of Long Island.
Our first international client win was an Australian-based client.
Our in-house built CMS, the Writers’ System launched. This significantly reduced admin time and ensured writers’ work passed initial checks via automated processes.
We opened our first office at the Stanlaw Abbey Business Centre, and hired our first editor.
Our company was launched by its two founders, Lianne Wilkinson and Darren Jamieson.
