The Challenge

Previously, Oil Store had used sales representatives to generate new business, but this proved to be expensive and time-consuming to manage, delivering little in the way of success, so the company decided to look to online marketing to bring in business. Remaining visible online would prove to be especially important during COVID-19, when the business had key worker status due to its importance to the automotive and food industries.

The Solution

Engage Web built a new Oil Store website, creating a more responsive interface that allowed users to locate and buy products more easily, building a site fully compatible with desktop and mobile.

To help with search engine optimisation (SEO), Engage Web writes regular keyword-driven, industry-focused articles, increasing to 15 per month as the business has grown, as well as unique product descriptions. The redesign included more search-friendly URLs to aid the site’s visibility in Google.

Success Factors

Oil Store now generates almost all (95%) of its business online and has fully committed itself to online marketing instead of sales reps. The company values Engage Web’s “unbelievably quick” response and accommodating nature.
