CDC Accounting came to us with corporate colours from another brand and wanted the accountancy business to share that branding. Using the colours provided, we designed a front page that portrays a business you can trust with finances.
We needed to do this without making the website look overly corporate, and this point is supported by the use of the brand’s vibrant purple and yellow in clearly defined blocks containing key information about who the company and what it does. A video featuring short snippets of company founder and managing director Chris Cheeney speaking to clients features in the banner to give it a human element.
When providing some of the new content for the site, the client emphasised consistency and delivering upon promises, so the tone is clear and straight-talking, but at the same time friendly and approachable. The latter angle was important as CDC Accounting works closely with clients and forms a relationship with them. On the front page, we used the abbreviation CDC to allude to three of the key focuses of the business – consistency, determination and – with some creative language – growth.
The new-look website is stylish, sleek and professional, reaching out to the target audience of businesses who want to do the groundwork themselves then allow CDC Accounting to help them grow.
