Accents For You, the business of voiceover actor Sue Pearl, deserved a website that is as vibrant as the many colourful voices Sue can deliver in her acting work. Therefore, that’s exactly what we set out to deliver.
As there was no branding for the company at the start of the project, we’ve come up with a bold and warm colour scheme that really represents the client. The colour combination of warm yellows paired with the bold reds make buttons and text stand out among the images on the site.
The colours and design lend themselves neatly to bold headings that have to stand out against the background. We’ve chosen a friendly sans serif font that’s both easy to read but bold enough to work as a visual statement and ideal for making titles and sections easy to scan throughout the site.
We opted for an approachable and friendly design that has a lot of personality. The rounded shapes paired with the slightly rotated buttons make the website user friendly with a touch of quirk to them, which leans well into the content and the overall feel of the site.
Being a voiceover artist, it was important for visitors to be able to listen to Sue via the website. We’ve created a simple-to-use system so the client can upload the demos that they want to showcase, and these appear on the site straightaway. For usability, we’ve also included different controls into this media player, like stop, play buttons as well as a volume control. Each individual recording also loads quickly to ensure a fast page load speed on the site.
As the audio element is an integral part of the website, this is prioritised over extensive written content. However, a range of service pages are present to show visitors exactly what voiceover services Sue can deliver (spoiler: it’s pretty much any!).
All in all, with Accents For You, we’ve designed another website that’s as vibrant and interesting as the services of the company we’ve designed it for. Unlike many sites, here you can experience a full sample of the company’s services just by pressing a button on the home page.
