AML Skills

AML Skills is a training provider for various medical and safety courses such as first aid, pre-hospital care, health and safety and more. They wanted a new website to update the aesthetic of their brand and make the process of booking onto their courses online simpler for website visitors.

As we created the branding guidelines for this company as well as the new logo, we took into account the visual identity of the company. A modern and clean design with large headings make the website’s course content stand out, while the strong visual hierarchy makes it easier to find what’s relevant when it comes to the detailed course information.

The old site also did not have a reliable way to book onto courses other than sending emails to the client. This led to a lot of admin time, which the new website greatly cuts down on.

The website and brand feature a wide colour scheme focused on their primary dark blue paired with the secondary red. All throughout the site, these colours as well as different accents are used to represent the different course categories as well as buttons and interactive elements.

The fonts used on the site match the logo. For the main body font, we’ve picked an easy-to-read font that’s not overwhelming, even when displayed in a large text box.

The site features intelligent use of images and graphics that accurately represent the industry, while also making it easy to identify what courses AML offers.

With the website’s main feature being an online booking system, we’ve had to ensure that these courses are both easy to filter and find regardless of what page the visitor is on. For this reason, the cards containing details about the courses feature heavily on most pages.

We’ve also introduced multiple additional features for this website to ensure it is user-friendly. From the customised slider of logos on the homepage and the price comparison system that lets the client add different companies to show a price comparison chart, we’ve crafted the features with usability in mind.

The table showing the upcoming courses is an integral part of the website and it has been created so it’s easy for visitors to get an idea of upcoming courses that they could not do on the existing site.

AML Skills’ new website is now more attractive, identifiable, easy to navigate and, most importantly, functional than ever before.
