We are currently looking for a part-time, experienced book keeper to support in the day to day management of our accounts for a few hours per week, based in our Ellesmere Port office. Working in a relaxed and friendly team and reporting to the Managing Director, this role will suit anyone with a proven background in accounts, and is now looking for a business that can provide a supportive and structured working environment.
Duties of role
- Bookkeeping, using Sage 50
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Posting journals for accruals, prepayments, wages and depreciation
- Prepare VAT returns, EC Sales returns and prepare end of year accounts
- Produce all management reports
This position would be suitable for someone with a good knowledge of the Sage Accounting System and experience in a general accounting/book keeping position.
Skills (Required)
- Sage Accounting – entering all Sales and Purchases Invoices, all cheque payments and receipts, reconciling the bank, cash, VAT and wages
- Checking debtors and creditors accounts
- Prepayments and accruals, journals
- Management accounts
Skills (Desired)
- Excel Skills
- Ability to communicate with clients
Salary: Negotiable dependent on experience
Location: Ellesmere Port, Cheshire
Duration: Permanent
Hours: Approx. 5hrs per week (flexible office hours to be agreed)
