Stairways to Heaven

Stairways to Heaven creates bespoke steel staircase panels to add luxury to homes and commercial properties. The company was looking for a new website to showcase the visual appeal of its products and attract new customers.

The client’s former website – while it included photography – didn’t do enough to help visitors understand the different staircase styles available or guide them towards the most relevant option. This meant potential customers could browse the site without really knowing what they wanted to enquire about.

We rebuilt the site with both SEO (search engine optimisation) and usability in mind, creating a much clearer structure with dedicated pages for the different staircase styles. Each page explains the options in more detail and uses plenty of project photography to show how each style looks in different homes and settings. The aim was to make the browsing experience far more useful, while also helping visitors move naturally towards the pages most likely to lead to an enquiry.

Visually, we gave the site a more distinctive identity. The hexagonal image styling used on the company’s vans became a key design feature throughout the website, supported by subtle background elements that reinforce the brand without distracting from the work itself. We kept the modern black-and-white colour palette from the previous site, but used darker blocks more deliberately to draw attention to important areas, such as calls to action.

Photography sits right at the heart of the new website. Every key page includes multiple examples of completed staircase projects, while a flexible gallery system allows the client to keep the most relevant images on display. We also improved readability by introducing a fresher, easier-to-read typeface and increasing the general font size, addressing one of the weaknesses of the previous site without compromising the overall look and feel.

The finished website highlights Stairways to Heaven’s impressive range of bespoke interior products, and effectively highlights the luxurious qualities of steel staircase panels.
