Dee Clearances are a collection and disposal company serving areas throughout Cheshire, North Wales, the Wirral and Merseyside. When designing a new website, it was important to both the client and ourselves to focus on helping Dee Clearances stand out within an industry that’s not always viewed as the most exciting.
Getting rid of waste can be a daunting and depressing task, so the vibrant orange chosen as a brand colour by Dee Clearances was combined with a green, blue and yellow to show that they can brighten up your week. Illustration is a great way to portray a friendly and approachable company, so it is used throughout the website and, of course, meant that we didn’t have to use photography of real rubbish! The animation of the van was added to conjure up that satisfying feeling of looking outside on a sunny day to see that your bins have been emptied.
The main headline of the site “Saving you time on waste” highlights Dee Clearance’s commitment not to ‘waste’ its customers’ time while referencing the company’s area of expertise. Further down the home page, we’ve highlighted the four main unique selling points (USPs) that help Dee Clearances stand out from other similar companies, including eco-friendliness, efficiency, reliability and being able to give customers true peace of mind.
With clever animations, unexpectedly pleasant imagery, vibrant colours and engaging content, Dee Clearances’ new site absolutely stands out as a diamond in a typically unglamorous industry.
