Including a call to action in your website’s content is an excellent way of encouraging visitors to do something on your site.
Whether that be to buy a product, submit a contact form or sign up for a newsletter, it will provide you with the action you desire from that visitor.
What is a call to action?
A call to action, referred to as a CTA for short, is a text prompt used on a website to encourage users to perform a certain action.
Examples can include “Shop Now”, “Claim Now”, “Download” and “Share”, and will vary depending on what action you want the visitor to take.
What to consider when putting together your CTA
What are your goals?
What do you want to achieve from this call to action, and how will it benefit your business?
Know your audience
It is important to research your ideal target consumer, to figure out what kind of call to action is most likely to grab their attention.
Select a suitable location for your CTA
It is pointless having your call to action somewhere that is unlikely to be seen. You must ensure, therefore, that it is in a prominent position and stands out.
Use an attention-grabbing design
Similar to the previous point, the design is a way to make the call to action stand out even more, grabbing the attention of the desired audience.
Keep it concise
Your call to action should give the audience all the information they need without being too wordy. It should be straight to the point, providing them with an incentive to take action immediately.
If you’re looking for content that appeals to your dream audience, why not book a call?
