Wanted: SEO Executive

As a result of business growth, an opportunity has arisen for an SEO Executive to join our small and fabulous team.

The SEO Executive will be responsible for setting and managing all search engine optimisation (SEO) activities for clients including content strategy, keyword analysis, link building, SEO audits and technical SEO strategy.

Candidates should have a real eye for detail and a firm understanding of all aspects of search engine marketing, including a knowledge of content marketing, ranking factors, outreach strategies and search engine algorithms. They should also be well organised, have the confidence and ability to liaise with suppliers, clients and team workers at all levels of the business and have experience of hitting multiple deadlines.

This role will suit an ambitious individual, keen to progress within a fast-moving company.

Duties of role

You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring effective SEO strategies across a number of websites, which will incorporate keyword analysis, link building, SEO audits, technical SEO strategy and setting content strategy with our editing team.

This is a technical, hands-on role, where you will be liaising with clients, project managers and other key stakeholders on a regular basis to achieve the required results as well as continual optimisation through making suggestions and creating strategies to optimise the ROI of campaigns.

Candidates will also be required to analyse websites for new business enquiries and contribute to quotation documentation for digital marketing proposals.

As an SEO Executive, you should have an advanced understanding of SEO principles, as well as a keen interest in the field and a willingness to continue learning and anticipating search engine changes.

Skills and Attributes (Required)

  • Proven experience in SEO, preferably in an agency setting
  • High levels of organisation and attention to detail
  • Strong English spelling and grammar skills
  • Strong communication skills face to face, on the phone and in writing
  • Ability to articulate and document digital marketing strategy and results in plain English, both verbally and in written format, to clients, suppliers and team members at all levels
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Demonstrable experience with SEO software such as Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, Moz, Majestic, DeepCrawl, SE Ranking or similar
  • Demonstrable experience with Google Analytics and Google Search Console
  • Advanced knowledge of Google, its best practices and its algorithm updates and understanding of SEO principles and trends
  • A proven track record in developing and implementing SEO strategies across a range of clients and industries including experience running/writing SEO reports
  • Knowledge of JavaScript/HTML/CSS and an understanding of content management systems such as WordPress
  • Link building experience
  • Knowledge of social media platforms for business use including Google Profile, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram
  • Able to interpret, visualise and discuss own ideas to a high standard
  • Ability to manage own diary/workload
  • High personal standards in terms of quality, integrity and customer service
  • A pro-active attitude and keenness to learn

 

Skills and Attributes (Advantageous)

  • Administrative experience
  • Experience with CRM systems
  • Experience with email automation software such as MailChimp, ActiveCampaign, HubSpot, Keap or similar
  • Experience with ClickFunnels or similar
  • Experience with eCommerce SEO

 

Salary: £23k – £30k. Starting salary dependent on experience + annual bonus. Salary reviews take place after probationary period and annually. Please include salary expectations with your cover letter
Location:
Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. Role will be hybrid office (2 days) – home working (3 days) after successful training
Duration: Permanent
Hours: Full time, 35 hrs per week (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm). No weekends. We also offer flexi-hours outside core hours of 10am – 4pm after training.
