Most great brands have become synonymous with their logo. If you think of Nike, you’re likely to immediately picture the swooping tick in your mind, while the Apple brand conjures up the picture of the famous half-bitten fruit of their namesake.
While Nike, Apple and Toblerone are some of the most famous ones, there are some other brands with instantly recognisable logos – but how many of the hidden images buried within these designs have you spotted already?
Amazon
Perhaps one of the most immediately recognisable globally, Amazon’s logo depicts its name framed by an upwards orange arrow reminiscent of a smile. This represents the company’s dedication to customer satisfaction – but you may have also spotted that the arrow points from A-Z, reflecting their exhaustive list of products (and the fact that they’ll see the job through from start to completion).
Baskin Robbins
An American ice cream company, many will recognise Baskin Robbins’ trademark pink and blue logo. While the letters in the logo clearly spell out BR to represent the name of the brand, if you look closely, you’ll also spot the number 31, which was the number of ice cream flavours the company originally offered – a choice for each day of the month!
FedEx
Many of us are familiar with the courier company FedEx – but how familiar are you with their logo’s hidden detail?
If you look closely between the E and the X, you’ll clearly see a white arrow that symbolises their quick and straightforward delivery service – clever!
Tour de France
Famous the world over, the Tour de France is a grand bicycle race that takes place annually – so it needed an equally grand logo to represent it.
If you look closely at the “O, U and R” of “Tour”, you’ll be able to make out a bike rider speeding to victory – with the yellow circle symbolising the yellow jersey handed out to the winner at the end of the race.
Toyota
The Toyota logo is made up of three overlapping ovals by which you can make up the name of the company, as seen below.
According to the company themselves:
“The two perpendicular ovals inside the larger oval represent the heart of the customer and the heart of the company. They are overlapped to represent a mutually beneficial relationship and trust between each other. The overlapping of the two perpendicular ovals inside the outer oval symbolize “T” for Toyota, as well as a steering wheel representing the vehicle itself.”
