Skylr is a former magician and current copywriting expert who came to Engage Web wanting a complete rebrand for his new website. Skylr wanted to emphasise his magician history on the site, so we opted to use a darker purples and contrasting yellows in the design.
The homepage features a fully custom-built animation, as well as hand-drawn elements, which all relate to magicians and tricks. Skylr’s new line of work is as an ‘email magician’, so going down this route was definitely the right call, as it makes the site stand out from his competitors.
The animation itself displays different static images in quick succession showing Skylr emerging from a magician’s top hat, with money raining down the screen and filling up on the bottom of the page. Our design team put a lot of work into ensuring the animation works on all devices and to time all the steps properly so that everything plays at the right time and right order, even if the page is viewed on a slower internet connection.
To further emphasise the magician aspect, we have custom-created testimonial cards in the style of playing cards. When people pick a card, they’ll see what that person had to say about working with Skylr. There’s also a secret page; check out the site and try to find it!
We’ve also created a very simple text-based logo using the website’s font, accompanied by the stars featured on the buttons all throughout the site.
The content of the site is also absolutely full of magic-related language, highlighting the huge effect Skylr’s services can have on a business’ marketing efforts.
In term of features, the website is linked with two email marketing platforms where Skylr can manage his email newsletters and send out updates to his prospects. The website also automatically updates and pulls in the latest publications from Skylr over to the website displaying his latest newsletters.
All in all, Skylr is not the only magician on show here; our design team have pulled a rabbit out of a hat on this website!
