Divine Decorators of Cheshire is a prestige residential decorating provider specialising in creating and renovating pristine homes, and it was our web designers tasked with delivering the same level of aesthetic excellence to their website.
We found the company’s previous website had multiple dead links, outdated images and overall did not reflect the quality of work the company does. For the new design, we’ve created a shift in tone, colours and the quality of images used throughout to match the brand better.
We’ve put more focus on earthy shades and colours, which help both the images and the primary buttons stand out on the site. This, paired with the muted colours and a font that has a high-end feel, really shows the company’s services in the best light. The imagery used on the site is overwhelmingly focused on showing the work the client has done both via shots of finished works, as well as before and after photos that help put the work into perspective for visitors.
In terms of features, the website displays case studies, each with their own attached gallery of relevant photos and a dedicated gallery page, as well as a filterable gallery of projects based on what kind of work was done in each property.
The main colour scheme uses the brand’s signature chocolate brown shade, which we’ve paired with a dark navy colour to compliment it. This makes the different sections stand out and catch attention.
A big concern of ours for this site was the usability and the availability of the contact forms, as the previous site didn’t feature these prominently enough. For this reason, we’ve linked the main contact form using the dedicated buttons on every page that opens up a sidebar with the form on it. The approach helps keep the form always one click away instead of relying on people navigating to different pages or scroll down to the bottom of a longer page.
Regarding the written content of the website, the primary focus for our Editing Team was to ensure that the prestige, top-shelf level of Divine Decorators’ services was suitably represented. To achieve this, we focused on higher-level language when discussing the services, which went hand in hand with the luxury imagery of past projects that were readily advertised on the site.
We consider ourselves to be divine decorators of websites, and Divine Decorators’ website is no exception.
