Google has added a new 24-hour data view feature to Search Console, reducing the typical data delay by nearly half.
This new feature gives website owners access to near real-time data relating to their website, showing performance metrics from the past 24 hours.
Previously, Search Console data wasn’t updated in real time, with delays of several days to see accurate reports.
Along with providing performance data from the last 24 hours, the new feature provides hourly breakdowns, allowing users to monitor how recently published content is performing and identify which search queries are successful in driving the most traffic to the site.
The 24-hour data view will be available in the Search, Discover and News reports within Google Search Console, displayed alongside an hourly overtime graph for easy monitoring.
To view the 24-hour data, navigate to the Performance report within Google’s Search Console interface and click on the 24-hour tab that appears above the data table.
The displayed data is based on your browser’s local time zone settings, meaning all Search Console users will see a 24-hour view of data, regardless of location.
This new feature will be rolled out to all Search Console properties within the new few months, so keep your eyes on your performance report for its newest addition.
What is Google Search Console?
Google Search Console is a free tool created by search engine giant, Google, that provides website owners with the data required to monitor, maintain, optimise and troubleshoot the presence of their website within Google’s search engine results page.
It helps you identify and resolve issues proactively to enhance visibility of your website in Google Search.
Google Search Console provides valuable insights into a website’s performance, including metrics such as clicks, impressions, click-through rate (CTR) and the average ranking position of its pages. It also provides detailed information on indexing status, mobile usability and core web vitals, which can help site owners optimise for search visibility and user experience.
