Google has introduced a new feature to its Business Profiles that allows businesses to generate a QR code, to help collect reviews from customers.
Available within the Google Business Profile interface, this update is designed to make it easier for businesses to direct customers to their review submission page.
This QR code simplifies the process by eliminating time-consuming steps that may discourage customers from leaving a review.
Instead of having to manually search for a business on Google, customers can simply scan the QR code, which takes them directly to the review submission page. This streamlined process may help encourage more customers to leave reviews.
With Google’s search algorithms prioritising user-generated reviews, increasing the number of reviews associated with a business can help improve its online visibility and improve its rankings in the search results. This, in turn, not only enhances credibility, but can also help attract new customers.
How do you create a Google Review QR code?
To create a Google Review QR code, start by manually searching for your business on Google using a desktop computer.
Your Google Business Profile should appear at the top of the search results. Here, click on ‘Ask For Reviews’. A dialog box will appear with your unique QR code.
You can share the QR code via email, WhatsApp or Facebook, or save it as an image to use however you prefer.
Once generated, the QR code can be displayed online or offline for maximum reach. These codes can be added to email signatures and social media profiles, or displayed on physical assets such as receipts, packaging or shop windows.
Creating and sharing this QR code is a simple yet effective way to help increase the number of customer reviews for your business.
With more customers sharing their experience, this can help improve the visibility, credibility and reputation of your business, which may ultimately lead to attracting more customers.
