Engage Web is hiring via the government Kickstart Scheme. This is a great opportunity for someone currently on Universal Credit to join a growing team, develop their skills and shape their future development.

This is a 6-month position, 35 hours per week with the opportunity for extension beyond those 6 months. This is paid at the national minimum wage/national living wage. This is a hybrid office(2)/home(3) position after training.

Duties of role

Engage Web is a digital marketing agency. We design and build websites, and run online marketing campaigns. This includes search engine optimisation, Google Ads campaigns, Facebook Ads campaigns, copywriting (web copy and news articles), and organic social media management.

The Trainee Digital Marketing Executive will provide support to our Digital Marketing Executives and Operations Manager. They will assist with the uploading of web copy that has been edited and approved by the team, running and helping to write reports, creating and updating records in our CRM (customer relationship management) system, and assisting the team with other general admin and operational duties of running our agency.

Digital marketing duties will include updating social media calendars, basic editing and manipulation of photos, contact form testing, logging technical support requests, posting to social media channels and helping with keyword research information.

The applicant will be shown how to use a range of third-party tools to carry out these duties with full training provided.

A high level of attention to detail is essential as the applicant will be posting/publishing directly to websites and social media channels in the public eye so mistakes will be seen and our tasks impact upon the results for our clients and ultimately ourselves. The applicant must be able to take responsibility for themselves and be proactive as they will control their own time when working from home (while guided by the Operations Manager).

All our work is carried out online so the applicant must have access to a strong and stable internet connection.

Location: Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. Role will be hybrid office (2) – home working (3) after training
Duration: 6-month position with the opportunity for an extension beyond 6 months
Hours: 35hrs per week (Mon – Fri 9am-5pm)
