Today is national Team Manager Day, and it’s time to give the spotlight to a member of our team who has been a key part of Engage Web’s success over the last six and a half years, and whose diligence and top-drawer attitude have recently led him to take on new capacities as a manager and shareholder in the company.
The last few months have been big for Alan Littler. Alan applied to be a Content Editor with us in early 2014, and has worked closely with our Editing Team over the years. However, he impressed us in other ways during his interview, to the extent that we offered him a different position. In February 2014, he became our Account Executive, combining this with duties in editing and writing articles for our blog.
With his hard work, attention to detail and cheery disposition, Alan took to his new, diverse role like a duck to water, and over the years, he has gained qualifications in Google Analytics, Sage and Adobe Photoshop, always showing an eagerness to learn new skills and turn his hand to new tasks.
When our team expanded this summer with a new Web Content Editor and Web Designer, Alan’s experience and people skills were recognised with a new role as Operations Manager. With the visions we have over the coming months, including taking on additional office space and further expansion of our team, we expect the role to come into its own as we grow.
Cementing his position as a trusted and valuable employee, Alan also became a shareholder in Engage Web last month, along with Content Team Leader John Murray.

Alan represents a great example of how dedication and willingness to learn can lead to new career opportunities, and how we at Engage Web always look for skills in our staff and help shape their direction within the company according to their skills. Since web design and internet marketing are rarely seen as face-to-face sectors, we believe it’s important to provide a personal touch for our clients, so they can get to know our team and what makes them the great people they are.
