Emma Latham approached us as her original travel concierge website was limiting. The client was unable to make changes to it, and there was a lot of unnecessary elements that slowed the site down.
Our team immediately got to work on providing a streamlined visitor experience by consolidating Emma’s pages. Design-wise, the website now features aesthetic, eye-catching images of cities across Europe and the Caribbean, where the bespoke holiday packages she offers are mostly based.
These images serve as the base of the design, with flowing script fonts adding that luxurious and personalised feel throughout each page.
The ‘About’ section, which details Emma’s impressive credentials, is designed to look like a postcard, which will help encourage visitors into that holiday feeling frame of mind. The homepage features curved and overlapping elements, working to evoke imagery of blissful waves.
The subpages feature subtly animated photo headings, helping to catch the user’s attention without distracting from the text. These scrapbook-style yet high-quality images again work to promote that holiday feeling, safe in the knowledge that Emma can provide exactly what they’re looking for – and more.
The team also created an easy-to-maintain review system, where Emma can continuously add in any new glowing reviews she receives from her happy clients. This is also true to the blog section of the website, which features posts updated by her.
The overall look of the website is polished, easy to navigate and colourful, reflecting the ease of the customer journey when they chose to travel with a bespoke Emma Latham package trip!
“When I started my travel business, I purchased an ‘off the peg’ website which got me going.
I soon realised that to generate more leads and get my audience to experience the right feel for the business, I would need my own website creating.
The difference in a website designed to meet your needs as a business owner is staggering compared to a generic off the peg site.
I cannot thank the team at Engage Web enough for bringing my ideas to life so succinctly.
Great team of people to work with – who knew creating an online space could be so straightforward.
