In a recent BNI online networking meeting, I gave an original education slot where I told the story of two BNI members, Ben and Beth. Using the format of a children’s story, this BNI education slot explained how two members each approached BNI in a very different way, and received very different results. This week at our BNI meeting I told the parable of the man who wanted to buy an ass, but was disappointed to find what he had bought didn’t keep the best company.

I related this to the business world, and how you are defined by the company you keep. I explained how, by changing your social circle to mix with people more successful than you, you can better yourself.
