Threads to roll out desktop-friendly interface

Threads to roll out desktop-friendly interface

If you are amongst the 100 million-plus users of Threads, Instagram’s new alternative to Twitter, you may now be able to access the social media platform via desktop.

A Threads representative has stated that they will begin to roll out the new web experience over the coming days, which will enable users to interact with Threads feeds, as well as create and view posts, on their desktops. You can check whether this feature has become available to you by visiting threads.net, with the feature soon becoming available to all users.

This next step in functionality can only increase the platform’s popularity amongst its followers, and give it yet more of an edge over its competitor, X, which seems to be continuing to struggle in the aftermath of its rebranding by new owner, Elon Musk. The latter platform is also suffering from seemingly being unable to curb offensive content and, as a result, has endured a significant drop in users since the takeover.

In contrast, Threads’ numbers continue to soar, with the Meta platform enjoying increasing popularity, which the new development of a web-friendly interface can only strengthen. This feature will be a much-welcomed addition to the already multi-faceted browser, and will give users a new way to access content and upload their own media.

If your company is wishing to get the most out of their social media experience, we at Engage Web are here to help. Get in touch with us today to find out what we can do for your business.
