A new digital service has been launched in the UK – Google Play Magazines. Users of Android and Google Chrome can use their device to browse or purchase digital magazines from various publishers. Google Play Magazines and Google Play Magazines app is available on Android phones and tablets which are compatible, or Google Chrome on desktop PCs and laptops.
Users can make a purchase or browse while out and about using the app or the Google Play Store from a web browser. There are more than 100 magazines available for purchase, with an option to purchase a subscription or pay for each issue individually. Some of the magazines have a 30 day trial which is free, but if you decide not to go ahead with the subscription, users must cancel as soon as 30 days is reached. Users who want to browse the selection can look through various categories, including Health & Fitness, Entertainment, Men’s Lifestyle and Business & finance.
If users aren’t sure which title they would like, there are top picks from the staff at Google, new titles which have just arrived and personal recommendations. As a user purchases more titles, the personal recommendations will become more accurate. Google Play Store also features downloads of movies and music, e-books and Android apps. Chromebook devices and Nexus are also available on Google Play Store.
As Google introduces more services, companies have to consider the search engine optimisation of their website, as Google plays a huge role in any SEO campaign.
