Since Solihull Design Flooring regularly works with high-end kitchen companies and large private properties alongside its commercial work, the aim for this design was to portray ‘high class’ and ‘upmarket’.
The brand’s corporate colours provided a good foundation for this and that was combined with clearly defined shapes and minimal colour inspired by modern interior design. Subtle and gradual fade animations were integrated to add the element of luxury, resembling the look and motion of a soft-closing drawer in a new kitchen.
With the website being a showcase of the client’s work, we agreed it should be visual rather than text heavy. However, one point we identified during the content discussion with the client was that the main reason for the website was to attract contractors. This was not really addressed with the previous site, which was more geared towards homeowners. In the Commercial section of the new site, we’ve written the text in such a way that it highlights some of the big names Solihull Design Flooring has worked with to emphasise that the team can be relied upon for contracted work.
Carrying the slogan “the next level in commercial and residential flooring” as a play-on-words connected to floors and surfaces, the content and design of the site now reflects a company that is a cut above the normal standard in its industry.
