My Local Solicitor

Having designed and written the content for their new site two years ago, Marta and Erin from My Local Solicitor decided to take advantage of the terms of our Fresh Start package and receive an entirely free redesign of their website.

While the old site was quite visual, Marta and Erin wanted to put a lot more emphasis on the visuals and animations, aiming for more of an open and naturally flowing site. In terms of colours and fonts, the new redesign opts for a minimalistic approach, using black and white with a dash of dark blue for the buttons to put emphasis on the more important sections and CTAs. All images have been reworked for the homepage to accommodate the new visual feel with black and white images.

With Marta and Erin seeking a simple, non-intrusive menu that works well with the minimalist design, we decided to use a hamburger icon that opens the full-page menu instead of displaying a complex list of menus and submenus.

My Local Solicitor wanted to show that they work closely with a number of amazing charities, so not only we have created a subpage for this, but we’ve used the logos in the footer to show the collaboration between My Local Solicitor and the Alzheimer’s Society, as well as Cancer Research UK.

As per our Fresh Start package, My Local Solicitor will be eligible for another website redesign in two years.

A video was created and edited to demonstrate the target market, and was used for the website’s header. Finally, all of the website’s existing pages and content needed to be copied across to ensure nothing was lost on the new website, and any existing search engine rankings were maintained.
