Merseyside Movers & Storers wanted to make it clear that they provide a professional and reliable service, but are also able to have a laugh and not take life too seriously. They pride themselves on being friendly, introducing themselves and putting clients at ease during what might be a stressful period for them.
The site is put together to portray this jovial side of the business, with the text and photography showing that they can be trusted with moving pretty much anything, whether the move is just down the road or to another part of Europe. The playful font, animations and vibrant colour scheme depict a personal and light-hearted company you can trust.
When writing the content, we were keen to emphasise the family-run aspect and what Merseyside Movers do to relieve stress. The About Us page is especially personal and introduces a “voice” to the business, providing its background and profiling each of the team.
The previous site had several pages in the navigation that had been written purely for search engine optimisation (SEO) purposes. These were having a positive effect on the site’s rankings, but were affecting the site’s usability and making it harder for visitors to find what they were looking for. We converted these into SEO landing pages, meaning they are still on the site but less visible.
The site is now modern, yet simple, clearly explaining what they do, who they are and why you should trust them, while also making it easy for users to find the section they need.
