When rebuilding the Home Financial NW website, the client wanted us to create more of a personal connection between the company and the site’s visitors. We did this primarily by integrating far more images of the team and premises than had been the case on the previous design.
The colour scheme of the site is based heavily on the existing logo, using subtle shades of green and grey. We also incorporated the existing podcasts into the site, featured alongside their respective topics, and redesigned the blog to give it a modernised look while fitting into the existing structure.
The content on the previous site included several pages in the nav that appeared to have been written purely for search engine optimisation (SEO) purposes but offered little value to the visitor. We pruned these down and created more concise content that that gave an introduction to what the company does, invited the reader to listen to the accompanying podcasts and get in touch to discover more.
Finally, since location was of significant importance to the client, we ensured that images of the client’s main location in Warrington, together with its new premises in Runcorn, featured on the home page along with maps of both.
