We had previously provided a content package for Adaptive Accountancy, but what they really needed was a new website to highlight a more personal approach and a less “corporate” appearance than was typical in their sector.
The client wanted to capture an aesthetic closer to that of CryptoniteTax.co.uk, a separate site we had built for them, so the newly designed Adaptive Accountancy site is geared around illustration instead of photography. Graphics resembling mountains, sky and moving clouds on the home page evoke a feeling of freshness, ambition and overcoming challenges, while at the same time offering a visual pun on modern cloud-based accountancy.
In a content call, we discussed the mantra that “nobody wants to talk to the accountant at a party”. This made it onto the home page of the site and set a tone that was friendly, personal and approachable, extending to light-hearted bios of the team and three specific pages to reach out to Adaptive’s target clients – individuals, companies and (following our suggestion) “go-getters”.
The site portrays a business that is not instantly trying to make money from people, but instead encourages to them have a casual chat over a coffee and get to know each other.
