Video-sharing giant TikTok has now launched a new profile called ‘TikTok for Business’ to help users navigate digital marketing on the app.
On the profile, which uses the handle @tiktokforbusiness, TikTok will be sharing tips for marketing on its platform, as well as providing insights on usage and previews of upcoming events, all to help advertisers use the video-based app to its full potential.
The platform made the announcement with a TikTok from its new account, stating that it would help users grow their brands, reach new audiences and tap into the platform’s ‘creative community’:
Despite having only been released two days ago, TikTok has wasted no time on creating and sharing content, with there already being six videos on the account at the time of writing. Three of those provide users with tips for driving video ad performance.
The bite-sized videos make the tips being shared easily digestible, and as the advice is coming directly from the platform itself, this could make it invaluable knowledge for those looking to branch out and advertise on the app.
Since its release in September 2016, the app has gone from strength to strength, with its popularity reflected in Instagram’s copycat ‘Reels’ feature. Indeed, according to Social Media today, TikTok is on track to reach a whopping total of one billion users this year – making this a prime platform for businesses to target with ads.
TikTok is just one of many platforms that businesses can use to advertise their products and services online, and all platforms should link potential customers to a website.
