Introduced by a committee member who had seen Engage Web’s work elsewhere, the Neston Archers’ website design hadn’t been updated since the early ‘90s. The club wanted a fully responsive, mobile-friendly website and imagery was key for them. As a club, Neston Archers has achieved some great results on a national level and wanted to attract more beginners to the group.
With no budget to update the branding, the current logo looked out of date but Engage Web was able to modernise the look somewhat by whiting out the logo against a solid background.
Engage Web worked with Neston Archers to define the pages they wanted to keep, and those they wanted to lose from the old site, and to determine the key functionality the club wanted moving forwards. Predominantly, this centred on adding images to the club’s Instagram account and for the website to pull these automatically into the website’s gallery. This made updating the site simple, and access was easier to control with club members.
A document library that the committee could update itself, and a simple calendar of events within the club’s budget, was also included.
As the club had no real club colours of their own, the new website colours take their lead from the famous archery target colours of red, gold, blue and black.
