Are you sitting comfortably?

One thing that we have found at Stuck On is that if you are not comfortable with your content area, then you probably cannot do it justice.

When I say comfortable, I mean several things including your relationship with the client, your understanding of the subject that you are writing about and where you are located.

Firstly, having a good relationship with your client is crucial.  Getting under their skin to know what works and what doesn’t in their market is vital for a successful relationship.  Studying the market, finding out who is who and so on is also key when writing about a subject.  Having what we call ‘pillars’ at Stuck On makes for much better work. What control do you have in your market?

Do you have much control in your market?  Do you have your site and nothing else?  Do you fight with the competition by placing ads on craigslist or gumtree?

Do you actually want to succeed with your site?  Its about time that you created some additional information sites dont you think?

The key to control on the web is to have more places for people to land on, so that they eventually find your brand and offerings.

We dont mean spam, we mean portals of information that cover your subject matter.  It needs to be done both on and off site for a well-rounded, successful campaign.

If you need more control, you must employ this strategy.

Content with your content?

Sometimes we talk to people who understand that adding fresh content will help them greatly in Google.   They also know how to do it, and even have the time to write fresh news.  However, they do not always want to do it, and on occasion may put it off for a day – I mean how much can missing one day hurt?  But then it may go to two days here or there, then before you know it, even though you think you are doing a decent job of keeping your site updated, you have gaps of 3 or 4 days with no updates, or even more!

This is because content is a distraction for most people.  Unless you have someone whose job it is to add new content to a site everyday, other things will come first. Lets face it, not everyone wants to spend their time researching and writing a new article everyday.

This is where we come in.  We have people who like writing articles.  More than that, they are good at writing them the articles as well.  We can offer that peace of mind of knowing that your website is going to be updated daily.  Remember, Google doesn’t care that you were busy on Friday and didn’t get round to writing anything for your website.
