Planning ahead with content

One of the main problems with content is the fact that it has to be added daily.  Or rather new content has to be displayed on the site daily – it doesn’t always have to be written the same day it is posted.

It is important to plan ahead – when you are on holiday, Google isn’t on Holiday.  Google doesn’t take bank holidays off.  Google will check your site on Christmas day and New Years day.

In the days before your 2 week holiday to some sunny country, you write 14 articles and then set it up so that they are added at various times throughout the two weeks.  Or you could write them while on holiday, and make sure that you have an Internet connection to post the news.  Neither of these options floating your boat?  Then let us provide you with content and make your life easier – you will get it daily, whether it is a bank holiday or you are on holiday.

What sets your site apart?

You have created your site.  You have loaded your shopping cart software with everything that you sell.  You have added a few unique descriptions to products.  You have built an SEO-friendly URL structure.

So have lots of other sites.

What sets your site apart from the competition?

What unique tools do you have on your site that keeps people returning to your site even when the competition is cheaper?  What riveting content do you have that keeps both Google and human visitors on the site for longer?  Do you have a unique and easy way for users to quickly view products without having to go ‘click crazy’?

If you can confidently state 10 things that your site does that you feel is better and different to the competition then you can feel extremely proud of yourself and your site should be a roaring success.

Types Of Content

We are primarily a content company even though we offer several other services as well.  While the main content based service we offer is a daily industry news service, there is a lot of other content that can be added to your site that we can help with.  For example:

  • Testimonials
  • Case Studies
  • Company Newsletters
  • New Product Pages
  • Area Pages

There are a million and one different ways to approach adding new content to your site.  While industry news works the best, it is important not to ignore other areas of your website that can be expanded upon and added to.

Remember, ignore content at your peril!
