The three characteristics you CAN’T rely on AI for

Industry leaders across a wide range of industries are, unsurprisingly, excited about the potential developments in artificial intelligence (AI) that may benefit their companies in 2024 and beyond.

Streamlined processes and enhanced efficiency are just some of the advantages of an AI-driven workplace. However, AI, especially in its current form, is by no means perfect. If you’re considering whether it’s worth throwing more of your eggs in the AI basket, here are a few intangible qualities that your human team will be better at than AI.

Expertise

Sure, with knowledge from pretty much every industry in every corner of the world inserted into it, AI knows more than you and I, in a general sense.

Nevertheless, if you’re a leader in your field, and you feel that’s why your clients and customers should come to your business, you’ll know what you’re talking about more than any robot can.

If you wish to lean on AI to create information, content and advice for your target audience to read, just know that everybody else in your industry using AI will be giving your audience the same information. If you truly want to stand out, trust your own expertise.

Transparency

The utility of AI depends on how much data and information it has to work with.

An artificial intelligence with little knowledge given to it will essentially be useless. Similarly, however, an AI with a seemingly infinite data set will have been fed ‘knowledge’ from so many different sources, with so many different methods, technique, thought processes, arguments and approaches.

Where is all of this coming from, and how does it decide what is right? As far as I’m aware, AI can’t make decisions of its own (and let’s keep it that way), so whether you should trust what it tells you about a subject is still somewhat debatable.

Genuine insight

As previously mentioned, AI is only as useful as the data it has been given to work with.

Nobody is denying that AI can process data at an incredible level compared to humans, but it will only do what we tell it to, using the data we provide.

Perhaps ultimate speed and efficiency is exactly what you’re looking for, and that’s exactly what AI can offer, but if you want that creative, random or even bizarre spark of thought that may turn into a brilliant idea, it’s only you and your team who can provide that.

At Engage Web, we like to keep a close eye on the latest developments in AI, but for now we trust our expert team to deliver the best possible results for all of our digital marketing clients. To discover how we can help your business, reach out to us now.
