If you’re a reader of .Net Magazine and you’ve got hold of the December issue already you may have noticed a certain SEO company based in Ellesmere Port appearing in the Expert Advice section of the magazine.
That’s right, offering advice on how to avoid getting fleeced by SEO companies who really don’t know all that much about SEO is StuckOn’s Darren Jamieson. The article talks about some of the ‘too good to be true’ things that some SEO companies say when they’re trying to win your business, such as those that guarantee first page listings in Google, and those that claim to have a ‘relationship with Google’ (these dodgy companies do exist).
The article also talks about those companies that offer SEO on a fixed price, one size fits all, basis. This is one of the biggest signs that a company offering SEO isn’t up to the task because no-one can quote on an SEO campaign without first knowing your industry, your competition, your current starting position and your aims – yet some SEO companies still offer flat rate fees of so much per month, regardless of your circumstances.
We hope you enjoy the article, and everything else in December’s issue of .Net Magazine. If you haven’t subscribed, you can do so here.
