Utility company RWE nPower has launched its new online recruitment site, which it heopes will give a more coherent structure to the entire job application and selection process.
The portal will essentially handle every aspect of recruitment for both graduate and non-graduate programs, and use the very latest in technologies and software to deliver this.
It should all add up, according to RWE nPower’s Adam Templeman, to a more user friendly experience for job seekers, akin in many respects to similar sites often used in the retail sector.
The company’s resourcing manager said:
“We want to have much more engagement with candidates (and) this new website allows us to offer more information on the company and the job roles available”.
He also remarked that the new site will provide far greater control over the recruitment process and improve the company’s relationships and communications with recruitment agencies.
It will also allow for a far more dynamic process, and be heavily SEO led.
It is hoped that, through using advanced SEO techniques, notifications of new roles will appear higher on the SERPs. It will rely on content links, and be criteria led through location and job families.
It is not a new approach though.
There are many companies, both large and small, who use advanced online recruitment exclusively. A consistently growing number use online for recruitment as it is proven to deliver quicker results in a more cost effective way.
Online recruitment is better for job applicants too, meaning it is hard to see any negatives with it and perhaps, to many within the SEO industry, it surprising nPower has not plugged into the potential far earlier than now.
