LinkedIn releases new Creator Mode tools

Those who have Creator Mode on the business networking platform LinkedIn are set to benefit from the addition of several new tools.

Live videos

The first new tool to be added is LinkedIn Live, its livestream video option, which was previously only available to paid members and pages that have over 150 followers or connections, and that met certain criteria. Now, all those with Creator Mode will be able to record live videos.

The addition of live videos will provide creators with a new way to engage with their audience on the platform – with live content engagement on the rise, and with LinkedIn users being 20 times more likely to share video posts than other post types, this could be a great tool for maximising presence within the platform.

LinkedIn has reported that live videos receive 24 times more comments and seven times more reactions than pre-recorded videos posted on the platform – by the very same creators.

Newsletters

In addition, those who use Creator Mode will be able to access newsletters – this feature is still in the process of being rolled out, and at present, is only available to Creator Mode users. When a new article is added to a newsletter, subscribers automatically receive a notification via email, in-app and push notifications – making it a great tool to get content seen.

Creator Mode was initially rolled out in March this year to a select group of users, and access has been gradually expanded since then. At present, it’s still not available to all users, but people can check whether they can access it here.

LinkedIn is a great platform to expand your connections and spread the word about what it is you do and what your business is about. To have a chat about the digital tools you can use to advertise your business online, get in touch with us here at Engage Web.
