If you’ve bought into the idea of content and realise that yes, you should be updating your website on a daily basis, you might be thinking that you can do it yourself. After all, why enlist someone else to write on your website? It’s your business, your company. No one knows how it works as well as you.
That’s a noble theory, and one we encounter often. Many times website owners try to add content to their websites themselves on a daily basis, with varying results.
Actually dedicating the time and the manpower to updating a website every day isn’t as easy it may seem. Yes it’s just writing one article a day on a subject that you know very well, but what happens when you have a busy day and you don’t get the time? You miss a day, which can easily become two, then three.
Before you know it your site hasn’t been updated for a week or two, and the content you’d planned to add to your site has just fallen by the wayside.
Of course you could always entrust the content to one of your employees, if you have someone with a decent grasp of the English language and an understanding of your business. But then you’re paying an employee to write content on your website. Are you getting value for money? Are they representing your company image adequately?
All too often people who try to add the content themselves fail to do it regularly because of time constraints. It’s far better to turn to someone who specialises in writing content for websites. Good quality unique content. Content that will get your website’s visitors coming back, and sticking to your website.
