Keeping your website’s blog active is very important, but this task is often pushed to the back of your to-do list when you’re strapped for time.
Even when you do have time, finding the right subjects to write about isn’t always easy, particularly when you’re trying to keep a regular blog going. Therefore, we’re taking a look at some reliable ways of generating content for your business’ blog that you can always fall back on.
Remember your customers’ concerns
We all want our content to be successful; that’s why we make it. According to Google, content that is genuinely helpful to your target audience will be the most successful in search engines, so this should always be your priority.
If your customers are always asking you questions that you have clear, concise and helpful answers for, these topics would make great subjects for your blog. There’s a good chance that many people will search these questions online if they are unsure, so a blog covering this would most likely work very well. Remember to listen and take note of your customers’ queries, no matter how rudimentary they may seem to you at the time.
Check out your competitors’ content
There’s nothing wrong with taking a bit of inspiration from a competitor when it comes to writing content.
You don’t have to copy specific ideas, and you absolutely shouldn’t copy exact wording, but seeing what others are writing about can plant fresh ideas in your own mind that can be very helpful.
Use AI for inspiration
Whatever your thoughts on artificial intelligence (AI) are, it can be a very useful tool for generating ideas.
While it can be (and often is, for better or worse) used for entire pieces of content, we wouldn’t recommend this if you’re looking to be as helpful as possible for your audience.
However, giving AI a prompt, such as “give me five content ideas for a blog about marketing” may help you out by providing you with a starting point.
Here at Engage Web, we’re never worried about lacking in content ideas for our SEO (search engine optimisation) clients. If you’d like to find out how we can benefit your business’ online approach, reach out to our team now.
