When you’re looking for a company to create links for your website, make article submissions or submit press releases, often what is at the forefront of your mind is to ‘how many’ websites will your content actually be submitted. This is understandable, but you need to be very careful before you bite the hand off a company that offers you such pie in the sky figures as ‘10,000 article submissions’, or ‘5,000 press releases’ for your hard-earned investment.
The reason is that there is a big difference between what gets submitted and what gets accepted. Yes, you could well find a company that will make 10,000 article submissions for you – but how many of those will actually get accepted and be published on the websites that they’ve been submitted to?
Even then, how many of those websites will actually be worth getting published on?
As with everything in SEO, it’s more about quality than quantity. You’ll find that companies who promise to submit your article submissions and press releases to thousands of websites will often be using automated software – which is something that many article sites and press release sites aren’t keen on.
The question you should be asking the company isn’t how many sites will you submit to, but how many do you usually get accepted and can I see a report afterwards with details of my published content?
It’s results that matter in SEO.
