Face it – Facebook gets a lot of things wrong!
We’ve had a bit of a to-do with the social media site this week because it hasn’t been displaying our blog posts as we want it to when we use the WordPress Social Broadcast plugin.
The plugin allows your post to be automatically posted on your social media channels when it goes live. We use it for our own blog and some of our clients’, as it saves the time and effort of sharing posts manually.
Occasionally though, it doesn’t look right on Facebook, pulling through only a few untidy bits of the post and no image. There’s very seldom any problem with Twitter, suggesting this is a Facebook issue.
It’s most annoying, but it can be easily fixed without deleting and debugging the post. This week, our Junior Web Developer, Gab, showed me a nifty and easy way to make these botched broadcasts display correctly. If it happens to you, here’s your three-and-a-half-minute guide to fixing it.
