Engage Web team abseils down castle in the name of teamwork

Cheshire and Wirral, 31st July 2013: The experts at one of the North West’s leading internet marketing companies, Engage Web, recently took part in a unique and eventful day of team building exercises at Peckforton Castle, near Tarporley.

Engage Web, which is the brainchild of marketing experts Lianne Wilkinson and Darren Jamieson, has been at the forefront of ethical digital promotion strategies since 2009, and has clients as far away as Australia and Canada.

To further strengthen the working relationships among an already-close team, Lianne and Darren organised a secretive day of activities, each of which was designed to bring out the best in those taking part. Peckforton Castle was chosen as the venue and provided the perfect backdrop for a morning of practical logic exercises and boardroom activities. Following these, the afternoon’s fun was unveiled to the delighted staff – an entertaining duck-herding competition, archery, and a death-defying abseil down a castle tower rounded off the day.

Engage Web Team

A Morgan Foundation Best New Business 2012 finalist, Engage Web puts great focus on empowering its team in order to better serve its clients. It achieved Investors in People accreditation in October 2012.

Speaking about the event, the company’s managing director, Lianne Wilkinson said:

“We wanted to do a few things the guys probably wouldn’t have done before. Sometimes it helps to get everyone out of their comfort zones a little; that was certainly the case here.

“Our team is without doubt our biggest asset so we put a lot of work into making sure that everyone who works here fulfils their potential. This way, we know our clients are getting the best service possible. If we have an happy team, we have a productive team – and that makes more productive relationships with and better results for our clients.”
