Ellesmere Port company wins coveted accreditation

Cheshire and Wirral, October 13th 2012: Engage Web, an online search and marketing specialist, has been granted Investors In People (IIP) certification. The highly sought after award recognises the transformation a company must make in order to become a leader in its field.

Launched in 2009, Engage Web saw Lianne Wilkinson and Darren Jamieson pool more than two decades’ worth of experience in advertising, online marketing and search engine optimisation (SEO), and strike out on their own. From its humble beginnings, the company has gone from strength to strength and now counts high profile global businesses, as well as local concerns, among its clients.

The IIP award is the latest step in the company’s journey. With turnover and profits increasing twofold, Engage Web’s workforce now numbers nine, which has brought fresh challenges. The award not only acknowledges Engage Web’s excellent financial performance, but the innovative steps that Lianne and Darren have taken to ensure their employees are happy, motivated and loyal.

Co-founder Darren Jamieson started his web career in the last century before Google was even a ‘thing’.
