Do you have a web strategy?

I have worked in the field of web strategy and SEO for a number of years and been quite successful with it, if I don’t mind saying so myself.

One thing that surprises me almost every time that I have spoken to a client is that there doesn’t seem to be a strategy of any sort for their site(s).  From some uneducated quarters within a business, there will be a ‘quick wins’ and a long term aims message – usually from a marketing department or upwards – which usually does not help the situation at all.

A lot of clients simply manage the site on a day-to-day basis, deciding what to do when they get to their desk.  This is absolutely counter-productive and sites that have this strategy never seem to work.

Of the few companies that I have worked with that have a real strategy in place, they are usually successful before my arrival and want to simply build upon the success that they are already having.

So the question is, do you have any web strategy in place at the moment?  Do you decide what to do sometimes on the morning you arrive at work?  Do you let the marketing department decide the web strategy for your business?  Do the wishes of the MD/CEO get implemented no matter what?  Have you got a list of quick wins?

If you answered yes to ANY of the questions above, please give us a call so we can get you on the straight and narrow.  Hurry now, the rest of your industry may be moving forward..
