A blog which has been written from the perspective of a seven month old baby has become a hit on Facebook, with over 50,000 likes. Although the original source of the blog is unknown, the blog named ‘Crybaby Shuffle’ has been entertaining for parents around the world who are deprived of sleep by their crying baby.
The blog is written in the style of a parenting manual advising parents how to get their baby to sleep throughout the night. Manuals advise parents to stick with the schedule and be firm to get a good night’s sleep. However, the blog which takes the view of a baby of seven months old advises other babies to be persistent with night feeds, waking earlier each night so that feeds are closer together. The baby says:
“Here’s the thing: these Mummies don’t really need to sleep. It’s just a habit. Many of them have had some 30 years to sleep and they just don’t need it anymore. So I am implementing a plan.”
The blog implements the cheerleading tactics used by Gina Ford to encourage exhausted mums and dads to continue. It also makes fun of another tactic introduced by Tracey Hoggs, also known as The Baby Whisperer. The post has become so popular with parents who love the accuracy, with more than 50,000 likes being notched up on Facebook, which has helped it on its rise in popularity; search engine optimisation implements Facebook and other social media to harness the power of the sites among people all over the world. Any company which has a SEO campaign will utilise social media sites and Google.
