Top Teks came to Engage Web wanting a complete overhaul of their existing website. The current website was difficult to update and changes requested from the developer took a long time to happen.
Top Teks’ marketing manager chose Engage Web as she’d used Darren for web design at a previous company, Metrodome Distribution, where he’d built a number of websites for them for various film and DVD projects, and managed email campaigns.
The original Top Teks website used an old WordPress theme that didn’t work with the latest version of WordPress and WooCommerce. This meant Engage Web had to clone the original website and upgrade everything before starting on the new design.
Engage Web also had to move the original website to our server due to the hosting outage experienced by the website’s existing hosting company, 123-REG. After we recovered and reinstated the old site lost by 123-REG, the client was very pleased indeed:
“Thank you so much you have been an absolute star – I don’t know what we would have done without you.”
Jane Lawson – Marketing Manager, Top Teks
The new website is fully responsive and modular, so the client can add different sections to pages and create branded sections of the website for key suppliers. The website has been hosted on Engage Web’s dedicated server, so is much faster than the previous version, and is backed up four times a day.
Product updates can be done in bulk with CSV imports and Engage Web supports the website with development changes and new animated banners when required under a maintenance package.
Engage Web has also set up automated email marketing integration via MailChimp, so customers are kept in contact with without the need to do so manually.
